Donkey Kong is a port of the arcade game on the NES made by Nintendo. Now everyone knows Donkey Kong is a classic, but how does it stand up to other NES games? As much as I want to tell you this is a great game, it has primitive graphics, tingy sound effects, and a total of 3 levels. Shigeru Miyamoto shares his thoughts on the original Donkey Kong game and the NES Classic Edition. We made games in three months. But Donkey Kong took a little longer—four or five months, I.
Donkey Kong is a video gameseries created by game designerShigeru Miyamoto. It is published by Nintendo, with entries in the series developed by Nintendo, Rare, Namco, Retro Studios, and Paon. The series debuted in 1981 with the arcade gameDonkey Kong, which was a sales success that brought Nintendo into the North American market.[1] Most Donkey Kong games have either been arcade games or released for Nintendo consoles and handhelds dating from the Nintendo Entertainment System to the current generation of video game consoles. However, some of the original arcade games were ported into versions on third-party home consoles and developed by several companies. Donkey Kong is among the best-selling video game franchises, with more than 48 million games sold worldwide.[2]
Most of the games in the franchise are platform games, although the series also includes other genres such as racing and rhythm games. The franchise centers on the anthropomorphicgorillaDonkey Kong and his family, who are usually the series's protagonists. Many of the Donkey Kong games use supporting characters throughout gameplay, allowing the player to control different members of the family.[1] The success of the series is commonly attributed to its technical innovation and entertaining platforming sequences.[1]

Game Description & Reviews:
Donkey Kong Classics features the original Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. releases for the NES. I do not know why Donkey Kong 3 with Stanley the Bugman was neglected here. Both games are good fun, and they helped make Nintendo a leader in the gaming industry. This rom is especially highly recommended because most other roms of the game do not work correctly, having at least a garbled title screen.
CGDave rates this game: 5/5Most people know the original arcade classic Donkey Kong which feature two of Nintendo's debut hit characters Mario (though at the time named Jumpman) and Donkey Kong himself. This arcade classic is a must have for any collection. Stop reading and download the most successful platformer of it's time.
